The Lavender Letter is a calendar of events for and by womyn in south-central Pennsylvania. Available by subscription, The Lavender Letter is published monthly and contains information about upcoming events and activities, as well as area social, support and spiritual groups. The Lavender Letter also accepts paid advertisements from both businesses and individuals, and lists community events and news at no charge.

The primary goal of the Lavender Letter is to not only inform our readers, but to educate them as well. In past issues, the Letter has identified college scholarship resources available to lesbians, and also to children of lesbians. There is currently a Health Spotlight that features health issues that are of interest to womyn. The Letter will cover financial issues, and legal issues too. In the coming months there will be new features added to the Letter. These features will be informative and topical in content. You won't want to miss a single issue!

This website will be constantly evolving in order to keep up with the latest trends and to keep things fresh. New items of interest will be added from time to time too. For example, you will see that the Letter has PlanetOut News. This feature changes several times a week, it will keep you up to date with gay and lesbian current events. Click on a headline to get the whole story. You can also connect to PlanetOut's website, and search PlanetOut News for past news stories.

There are times when the Letter receives important information too late to be put into the next month's print issue. That information can be posted on the web site now! Great things are happening with the Lavender Letter!
